Years of white knuckling my way through the fad diets du jour taught my body to hold on to fat like a toddler holds on to her cookie. But worse than what my body did, was what my mind did. I found myself in a place of self-loathing and defeat (this is not a place I would recommend, either. I think Cancun would be much more fun).
Before my brain glommed on to the next "winning" diet, a small, super quiet, voice gently suggested I try another way. I dropped my keto snacks and started studying.
What I discovered along the way was shocking. I discovered that the answer was so much simpler than those diets had wanted me to believe. It's not really the diet industry's fault. I had wanted to believe in some special fix for my problem. Applied knowledge is not as sexy as promises of sudden transformation. I could actually find health through diligent and thoughtful progress.
This knowledge and this process is what I teach my clients so that they can live poised and powerful for the rest of their days. My clients learn what food fuels them, what movement strengthens them, and what behaviors restore them to vibrant wellness.
